Signing In

One secure sign-in, inside the app — connected in under a minute.

Klaude Fuel Gauge - AI Usage reads your usage through your own Claude session. Connecting takes one sign-in, inside the app — your password goes to Anthropic, never to us. The session it creates lives only in the app's own sandboxed container and never touches your browser's cookies.

When sign-in is needed

1The menu tells you

Click the gauge in your menu bar. If the app can't read your usage yet, Sync Status says so and points you to Settings → Diagnostics.

2What an expired session looks like

Sessions occasionally expire — you'll see "Sign in — authentication required" with a 401/403 error. Nothing's broken; you just need to sign in again.

3Start from Settings → Diagnostics

Click Sign in to Service… to begin. Reset Claude cookies clears the app's stored session entirely and triggers a fresh sign-in — use it after a password change or persistent errors. It touches only the app's own sandboxed session; your browser stays signed in, untouched.

4First launch: Welcome

New install? The Setup Assistant opens automatically. Click Continue.

5Sign into the service

The assistant explains what happens next — your session stays in the app's own sandbox, never your browser. Click Open Login.

6Sign in at claude.ai

A secure window opens claude.ai directly. Enter your email and click Continue with email. (Continue with Google isn't available in the in-app window.)

7Check your inbox

Anthropic emails you a secure sign-in link. Click Sign in to Claude.ai.

8Get your verification code

The link opens a page in your browser showing a one-time code. Click Copy Code.

9Enter the code in the app

Paste the code into the app's sign-in window and click Verify Email Address. Done — the gauge starts tracking immediately.

That's it — you won't be asked again until the session naturally expires. Your credentials are handled by Anthropic's own login page; the app never sees your password, and nothing is ever sent to us.
